Cleaning oil tank

I have rinsed out an oil tank with 8 litres of paraffin and still sediment is coming out. Any ideas?

I compared a few pieces of original paint with each other. Some were identical to RAL 3007 and some looked slightly more purplish.

Fortunately the teeth on the tool, Paul.
The last time it was my own teeth it cost me for an implant.
Was the fork top nut sprung out by the fork spring?

I tried extensions to the tool, but the tool slipped and the teeth got damaged.
I will just try out the oil seal holders I have.

Hi, all time to change the oil seals after a mere 33 years of riding :lol: . The tool to remove the holders is just not strong enough. Had to use a torch and Stillsons. Not good for the holder which is rusty anyway. I notice the replacement oil seal holders which I have are a bit longer than the ori...

I got fed up of the wires under the mudguard of my 55 NH becoming disconnected. Instead of using bullets I ran 3-core flex to the lights along the frame tube and fitted quick release connectors. This gives a proper earth.
