Re: CP mid cover

My Indian made mudguards were shipped at no postage cost to me. When it was determined that they were to be returned to India because they were crap, I had to ask DHL for a shipping quote as they were the original carrier. They quoted $700.00 Canadian ;) The Indian seller took one look at that quote...

Re: Fiberglass mudguards

I am starting a GoFundMe account to pay for one of those Aussie guards :o. To be honest I could make one myself from a rolled blank. Leave it to the shop with the proper role dies to make a blank but the blank can be finished from there. That is how they have been done for decades by the Drags guard...

Re: Fiberglass mudguards

Hi Brenton. Frankly I do not put up with very poor craftsmanship and I refuse to pay for. I got a full refund so it cost me nothing.
There is absolutely no way anyone in my business would be allowed to sell that rubbish to a valued client.

Re: Fiberglass mudguards

We are all aware that when restoring certain cars and motorcycles that there is a certain pride in saying , oh yes, it’s all steel. We get it. But when steel is unavailable and there is a viable alternative, why not take advantage? Good to hear a couple of positive reviews.

Re: Fiberglass mudguards

You are serious,Nev? This guard is rubbish. Instead of being rolled from solid sheet it is welded together from 3 strips. I only shared a few pictures. If the metal finishing is not up to powder coating quality from the get go, why should anyone have to spend 10-20 hours reworking someone else’s dis...

Fiberglass mudguards

I waited a month for a mudguard from India. It arrived :( :o   It will soon be on it's way back to the prior colony. Three times I've ordered guards from India and once I actually got a very good product. That was several years ago and I've lost track of that particular eBay seller. I'v...

Re: 51-53 rigid Single

LOL, Bob. I am a rookie compared to you. Those with barns or sheds are sure to spread! Why do projects come along that we can’t pass up? I always feel that if I don’t rescue it, it may disappear into a bin. I would love to quit full time work and concentrate on Ariel projects but without work, no sp...

Re: Foot peg

No, don’t take one off, Paul. That only makes it easier to come off by itself :o
What about a longer bolt with a Thackeray washer?
I’ll try to find out what marque this belongs to. Obviously not Ariel.
