Re: FOR SALE : Very nice 38 VB

Hi Dave Just a quick few points while I think of it. The bike is very low mileage and the engine cases had never been split when it came to me...they still have not been split but I did give her a re-bore with new piston. The primary inspection cap had corroded so I had to take apart the primary sid...

Re: FOR SALE : Very nice 38 VB

Hi Dave This was my VB that I sold a few months ago and the purchaser appears to have just sold it on with a bit of mark up. I had it for about fifteen years and know all the history from when purchased new. I gave all the provenance paperwork to the purchaser and hope he has passed it on to you. I ...

Re: 1930 Mod B for sale

Hi Klaus
You may have forgotten but this bike is still on the DVLA 'puter on a SORN...the point is that there should be no difficulties putting it on the road in UK should someone in Her Majesty's realm wants to buy it.

Re: VHA 1952

This is indeed Lynne's VHA and Neville maybe could have recognised it from the Australian Ariel rally in Tamworth NSW in 2015. From the other posts, you guys appear to know more about the VHA then me (or Lynne for that matter!). She only used the VHA for the 'round the world via the colonies' trip a...

The Morgo pump for the MK II has a pressure relief valve which discharges to the timing chest, the extra flow of the Morgo could therefore result in too much oil in the timing chest. There is no such relief valve in the MkI Morgo oil pump as it relies on the oil pressure relief valve in the end of t...

Hi John There are two different sizes or air filter box fitted to s/arm machines but the length of the bracket changed to ensure that the overall spacing of the two top and bottom mounting holes was the same, the complete boxes are therefore interchangeable but you cannot mix bottoms and tops. The f...

Hi Vincent I use Central Wheels for everything other then FWH 19" which I can get much cheaper elsewhere. Central are not perfect but they have always quickly resolved any problem and that is an ingredient that I put in the melting pot to judge a firm... the willingness to take responsibility a...

All s/arm outer p/c cases are the same, it is just the inner that varies, s/arm ones are indeed much shorter than their Anstey/rigid cousins. Pre and post '56 inners are not interchangeable due to the difference in gearbox main shaft length. Then there are three different inners (all singles, KH or ...

Re: SQ4 Mark lll

Hi Wade I hope that all is well with you, I assume that you are back in Canada now. The blue MkI does indeed belong to Howard Duddles. The very blue MkII version is Klaus's which I built about fifteen years ago, the colour was from a standard colour chart and was a joint decision by my kids one Chri...
