Hi Nick

Maybe if you post a photo of the specific area in question we can help with what you need

Strangler

Some years ago I bought a ‘non Ariel’ Amal 376 from an auto jumble and I’m planning to machine up a collar on the inlet side to match up with the strangler but I now realise that the 375 strangler I have is too small to be compatible. Thanks to the experience of another forum member I now know that ...

Re: PRIMARY CHAIN ADJUSTER

It sounds more likely that the nylon saddle nut has just been wound off the end of the adjusting rod. A special design feature was incorporated to permit this likelihood.... Either way you’ll have to remove the case to rectify. In answer to your earlier question, I’m not aware of the saddle ever bei...

Re: PRIMARY CHAIN ADJUSTER

Have you tried pulling the nylon adjuster out and turning the tang on the end of the rod?

Arrow seat

Has anyone bought one of the remanufactured Arrow seats from Yeovil as advertised on EBay?
At £175 + pp they look good and I’m wondering what they’re like in use.
I know that KR Leighton can also supply but looking for an alternative if the quality is right.

Re: Rear Sprocket

B&C could make me a sprocket but would come in at £40-50 Some interesting points raised - he says that all chain sprockets are imperial, they never went metric! Why do I see lots of 13mm sprockets available then? May be only 0.3mm (0.012”) further between teeth but wouldn’t that start stretching...

Rear Sprocket

Can anyone help me to find a supplier of 1/2” pitch rear sprockets suitable for machining up to graft on in place of a worn out original?
Plenty of metric sprockets around but not finding imperial without going to Trumpland for one.
