Re: Indian Speedos

Simon G,
No your not being picky that is a fair point. It is my understanding that the current 'consumer' GPS systems do not use the altitude data in their speed calculations.

Re: Indian Speedos

Regarding using a GPS based device as a speedometer just a cautionary word of warning. In the UK a GPS based speedometer/satnav does not conform to the Construction and Use regulations as it cannot conform to the requirement that it " shall at all material times be maintained in good working or...

Re: Timingcase gasket on Ebay a mistery to me..

Vincent, Of course you are correct, that's why the part number for the one I posted was 2030-55. And yes, looking at the timing cover that Ebay gasket would seal off the breather hole into the magneto case! There is a also an extra hole at 7 O'clock on the 'normal' gasket. Looking at the parts books...

Re: Timingcase gasket on Ebay a mistery to me..

The ebay posting says it is a 2030-34 which is the part number for the normal singles timing gasket. The holes in the one for sale are totally wrong when compared with a proper 2030-34. I think it has been wrongly identified in the Ebay listing

Re: Decompression cable route

These pics show the cable routing on my VH but the cable route is the same on my WNG. SDC11780.JPG SDC11790.JPG I am confident, in my mind, that none of the cables go through the holes in the front tank mounting bracket because a) if they do they do not line up correctly and b) they restrict the fre...

Re: Rigid lower chain guard

This afternoon using the excellent post on Simons blog, a scaled photo from Drags website, an old computer case, an old shelf bracket and a length of wood I have managed to produce, what I think is, a reasonable version of a VH rigid lower chainguard. Re: WNG Exhaust lifter cable 6470-44

Luis One thing to watch out for is that if you have non standard handlebars the factory lengths may well be out. I prefer to buy the inner/outers and fittings and make up my own. Start with the outer and route it from the decomp lever to the decompressor arm. When you are happy that it is routed cor...
