Re: mk1 square four oil tank vent

That is not a clip. It should be standing vertically above the chain guard and is there to stop the tyre pump from falling into the wheel should it become detached from its mountings. A previous owner has bent it down through 180 degrees.

Re: Lucas distributor for a Square 4

Paul, 10 degrees advance on a distributor is 20 degrees advance on the engine which is close. These engines are not particularly sensitive to ignition timing but only need to be as near as possible at full advance for max power. Even this figure can be slightly different from engine to engine on wha...

Re: So it begins

Not me Bob, I need the three sets that I have. Note that they are called "club spares" so why go to Draganfly?

Re: Shock absorber knocking

To all those people suggesting fitting oil seals to Square Four valve guides, do not waste your time. If you study the valve relationship to the guide when the valve is open you will see that the reduced diameter of the valve where the collets fit goes a small distance down the guide. It needs a red...

Re: Different size Ansti stirrup

The Anstey rear suspension takes it's name from the designer Frank Anstey who was employed by Ariel in 1939 but was previously employed by Rudge.

Re: Centre stand for 250cc LB & LF, 1929 only

Jim, yes, yours was one of the three. Have not finalised a price yet as they still have to be machined but it is not likely to exceed £40.00.
Have received your email. Trying to work out the best way to get the stuff to you.
Regards, Roland.

Centre stand for 250cc LB & LF, 1929 only

A pattern is available for the above stand. Three have been cast already for those who I know need one. Is there anyone else who needs one, or more, before the pattern reverts to being the centre stand on my LB? You have about a week to think about it.
Regards, Roland.
