Looks very much like a 1954 KH Fieldmaster twin that has thrown a rod through the nearside. They are used to do that, when one forgets to fit the oil pressure valve in the crank. You are missing a awfull lot of parts, dont know if it would be feasable to restore this one unless you get very lucky in...

Hello Eadric, The later dualseat does not fit (at all!) to a plunger frame. I dont know the type or make of the dualseats that where factory fitted to plunger (or rigid) Ariels but a early fifties BSA item looks like it. A dualseat from a later SQ4 would fit I think but take note of how wide the nos...
