Re: Rims and spokes

Devon Rim Company is my only choice. Even after 3 years I could swap a wrongly bought rim -my fault- with them. Very good service, and if I may be so frankly- only Maughans & sons and DRC get to that level in the UK ! (and I have had my dealings with a lot of them over the past 40 years) breek m...

Re: SpAriel MkII aka The Hermanator

This drawing I scanned from the Cheval, a few years ago .
It gives a few bolt sizes.
Odd that the date it was published is 1953, girders long gone then.

Re: SpAriel MkII aka The Hermanator

Alan, here's the drawing. but a warning, measurements are not from the factory but done on a exsisting frame. (and not by me!)
See comment on drawing .

'Gemeten' means Measured.

Nev, they supply a loose bracket that you have to weld on yourself.

I like collecting odd bits of steel....
note difference at the rear of the jig, low point is W/NG, high point standard rigid.

Re: SpAriel MkII aka The Hermanator

Hello Paul, It 'evolved' around these two frames. And the owner gave me a drawing with the frame measurements of a W/NG and a standard rigid. The first frame was o.k. at the engine/gearbox bolt holes, so that was the starting point. The picture with the second frame 'before' you can see the start of...

Re: Soldering pinhole in petrol tank

As long as those storys also involve beautiful people, white sandy beaches, endless Sunshine and good food (in random order) there's not much to worry about :D

Re: SpAriel MkII aka The Hermanator

 It’s obvious that you really take your time in looking at the frame and to find out where it goes wrong. The W/NG frame had a bend in the front that took me to heat all 3 straight bits there. I heated the horizontal one, the top one, and the one that goes down to the front of the engine. This ...
