Re: Exhaust heat shield

Hello Jerry, the litlle demon is in those curved ends. I guess the factory had a stamp for them and whacked them out in a split second. Remaking such a die is not feasable for a small market. Making them by hand is the only solution but costs time. Even calculating on the very, very modest side you ...

Re: Exhaust heat shield

Just to busy with what not . If you like I can send you a set of parts to make your own 8-) Heatshield.JPG I have seen those ...

Re: bigend oil holes in KH crank

Thanks Nev and John,

I was puzzeld by the drawing I found in the knowledgebase :
Looks like only one hole.
modification is 1950 , so maybe older engines have one hole

bigend oil holes in KH crank

The KH crank I have has on each bigend journal two oil holes opposite from each other.
I thought it is supposed to only have one hole in each.
Should it have two holes or one per journal ?

Re: MK II Square fours cranks for sale

Just a thought....
Can you use a rear SQ4 crankshaft in a KH ?
(drive side might stick out a bit...)
If ....dont you then have a smoother running engine because of the 180 degree and a shorter stroke ?
And ofcourse a small problem with the camshafts.

just a thought.. ;) .
