Lots of Jap single motors are dry sump
with oil in tje frame, SR 500 TT500
XT550 TT600 Yamahs DR350 DR400
Suzukis etc

My 1954 NH350(500) tank has that many weld repairs
I would love to get a better tank. How much and would you be prepared to ship to New Zealand
at my cost of course.

On my VH500 I have a long piece of magnet sitting on the bottom of the oil tank. No need to attach as it hang on quite nicely by itself. Then when I do an oil change I use a small pipe attached to a wet vacuum cleaner to clean out the tank and remove the magnet while doing so. After I have drain the...

My 54 NH with VH conversion, came with a low comp
Polson piston, which has substantial webbing under the
crown. Thought it was a modified car piston, maybe it is an Ariel one. It certainly looks far stronger then your failed one. Can post a photo if you like to see it.
