Re: Transfers

it's the wrong way round for waterslide, isn't it. The glue, or starch or whatever it is, is usually between the print and the backing. Waterslides seem much better if you use decalfix or microsol/fix instead of water. I used laser printed waterslides for some push bike frames; they came out pretty ...

Re: Stand

If you mean a Paddock stand, it's on the list of roundtuits infront of me. I saved a garden chair frame from the bin to make the stand from, I know it's a bit thin but I have it. Love to see a paddock stand if someone has one on a swingarm ariel? I wonder if anyone coudl tell me the dimensions of th...

Re: Gudgeon Pin End Pads

I had PTFE buttons in the pistons in my harley. I saw very little sign of wear to the buttons when I last rebored it.
I had been going to use aluminium as I wasn't convinced PTFE was going to be right for the job, but they worked great.

Quite likely/probably wanted mag for a single.

Kicked my bike over and not a sausage. The mag ewasn't the greatest, if there was a cloud in the
sky it was pretty poor. But It's been in doors for a few months and I expected a nice loud crack, but
nothing at all. So I may be in the market for another mag?

Re: Building up a shaft

Yes I was wondering if you could replace the entire shaft.

Re: Building up a shaft

Aren't cranks usually done with a submerged arc thing. Last thing sort of like that I got asked to do was a magneto armature, it looked like desperate dan took a bite out of the threaded end, I rebuilt it and cut new threads. It went how you wrote, weld it up and remachine. For the armature I used 3...

Wanted: Swingarm Frame Centre Stand

Mine has been very butchered, it is missing the curved feet and the uprights have been cut and welded several times!
I was going to get some tube and make a new one but though I would ask if anyone has one for sale first.
I don't mind repairing a damaged one.

Re: Motorbike covers.

I don't like cover, as they will damage the paint in long term use. Micro blistering of the paint! I don't like the rain. I was looking for an Oxford storm when the JDC ultimate appeared when I needed a cover. Hopefully the silver is better than the blue, I will try an Oxford storm next. I usually ...
