cmfalco and David are right, but the (simplified) table is intended for homemade measurements, where the error for the usual rod to stroke ratio is very small (about 1,5 mm if you double the rod length). May be helpful, the example says:

If you have an stroke of 80mm and you have 7mm BTDC your angle is 30°

……... But you need to reduce the diameter of the threads immediately under the end of the countersink of the head down to the thread root diameter or you will not be able to "bottom" the countersink into the crankshaft. This advice came a little too late for me, had great problems to set ...

With my new piston set from IMP for my MKII the instruction was also 0.1mm (4 thou") clearance about 9mm below the piston eye.
