Re: oil lines

Thanks for the confirmation. So if that is vented to the outside world and the FERC is oiled from the primary chain case to what is the 4th pipe from the oil tank connected. The other three being the two connections to the oil pump and the feed to the rockers.

Re: oil lines

Simon thanks for the link I am not sure it is relevant as while it gives a good view of the chain oiler i thought on the 58 NH has a chain oiler provided from the primary chain case into the FERC My main question is associated with the pipe from the rear of the timing chain case as while it could be...

oil lines

I am building up a 58 NH which was a basket case and i have got to the stage of putting in the oil lines. The armoured oil lines to and from the pump are fine but there are two small pipes to the bottom of the oil tank that I take to be the oil feeds to the rockers and a pipe that joins on to the pi...

Nuts for the Timing side crank and cam shaft

I have been waiting for Draganfly to get these for my 1958 NH since November and today they still do not have an idea when they may be available. Does anyone have these that they would be willing to let me buy so I can finish off the build.
Thanks

Re: Further Dynamo Problems

Thanks Guys. I am testing the dynamo out of the bike, with sitting on the top of the battery. I have flashed it repeatedly to ensure a negative earth so I do not think that will apply. I will take John's advice on the battery drill and retest with a mains powered drill perhaps we will see some outpu...

Re: Further Dynamo Problems

Chris Field coil to dynamo isolation is over 18 Mega Ohms. Yes i would hope to get more than 7v but it was not running at full speed and compared to the 0.2 v I was getting with the other test configurations it seemed a big step. Bill thank you for the input. I have been using 12v battery as I am in...

Further Dynamo Problems

I am looking for help that is not covered in the 205 messages about Dynamos in the forum which I have now read. I have a E3L dynamo which being part of a basket case, I have stripped and rebuilt. As part of this I have measured the field coil at 3.2 ohms and each of the coils in the armature are sho...
