Re: Flow rate from the oil tank

True the oil was at room temp, but I still expected a constant trickle rather than drops.

Flow rate from the oil tank

Having cleaned out the oil tank and the oil lines and filled the tank I find that the oil flow at the pump end of the oil line is only about 2 drips a second. While i appreciate that the pump will try to suck oil from the tank two drips a second does seem to be low to me have other seen this rate of...

lessons for a first build

Having bought a 58 NH basket case as my introduction to Ariel motor cycles the build has gone reasonable well until i tried to fit the outer primary chain case at which point the engine refused to turn over. Having now repeatedly stripped the clutch introduced additional spaces, assembling it with a...

Re: oil lines

Thanks for the confirmation. So if that is vented to the outside world and the FERC is oiled from the primary chain case to what is the 4th pipe from the oil tank connected. The other three being the two connections to the oil pump and the feed to the rockers.

Re: oil lines

Simon thanks for the link I am not sure it is relevant as while it gives a good view of the chain oiler i thought on the 58 NH has a chain oiler provided from the primary chain case into the FERC My main question is associated with the pipe from the rear of the timing chain case as while it could be...

oil lines

I am building up a 58 NH which was a basket case and i have got to the stage of putting in the oil lines. The armoured oil lines to and from the pump are fine but there are two small pipes to the bottom of the oil tank that I take to be the oil feeds to the rockers and a pipe that joins on to the pi...

Nuts for the Timing side crank and cam shaft

I have been waiting for Draganfly to get these for my 1958 NH since November and today they still do not have an idea when they may be available. Does anyone have these that they would be willing to let me buy so I can finish off the build.
Thanks
