Now running well on the type 6, the new needle and needle jet worked, plug is a nice color and it's doing around 100 mpg, starts ok hot or cold but still think I will fit the electronic ign kit. Well it's running rich at small throttle openings and soot'ing the plug up, seems fine when accelerating changing the slide from 3 to 4 as helped, lots of ware on the needle and is a bit on the big side, new jets and needle are on the way from Amal then we will see how we go from there. https://www....

Well the Best is now fitted with what could be it's org type 6 carb, the monoblock it's been running with was much to big, it now starts well hot or cold so I will give it a few miles and decide what next, I have one of those electronic ignitions that fit in the mag instead of the points that I was ...

Mine jammed near every time, but the clutch was also heavy, I adjusted the clutch springs out a little with still no slipping but it was still heavy even with a new cable, in the end re routing the cable gave a good light clutch and since then just pulling the clutch as freed the kickstart jam, win ...

If your solid state reg bolt on I would bolt it to metal with heat sink compound between,
anything that reduces temperature aides reliability.
