Called at Morgo this morning to pick up a MK1 oil pump they were very helpful, Also showed me a oil filter kit which they supply very nice small unit, that would be good for the sq4 where room is limited, they are also making tappet guide blocks, Just thought it may be of help to some one and worth ...

Hi
My mk1 was just the same just got 300 mile on its back now and the smoke as just about stopped
Oil pressure as settled to about 35-40 PSI at 30 MPH in top gear from 60 PSI I think it was getting to much oil to the rocker gear with the high pressure but still leaks oil from around the head

found this bike under a house it had been unused for around 35 years and the oil pipe to the rockers and oil gauge was small to the gauge and big to the
rockers the stud atthe other end of the pipe only has a 1/16 hole so limits the oil flow

Think I used 40 LPI .04 mm for the oil filters can not remember for the fuel but a lot finer

Thanks for that you are wright the bike came from Garforth just out side Leeds belonged to my father and me after i've had it for 36 years now
