phsammut . Are you sure you have the points opening side of the on the cam . It is easy to set it up on the closing side of the cam . Been there and done that . Only other thing is if you have low charge in your battery you can sometimes get a spark outside the cylinder but not when the plug is in p...

if you have your rear crank shaft cog in this position then your camshaft the dot will be at approximately 1 o clock position . No. 1 at top dead center and the points just about to open , make sure you are an the correct side of the points cam , then tighten it all up . this is a start point and it...

Acme have supplied all my stainless steel parts for my last two builds and have been fantastic . I change every part I can for stainless steel items and have never had a bad part from Acme Stainless .

My mk1 is also smokey from the right pipe , mostly , ive only done 9 miles though so still lots of running in to go . I too plumbed the small pipe to the rockers and the larger to the gauge got running in oil in it now just need to use it . lots of oil pressure though only drops to 50lbs when hot . ...

All I did was change out the bulb holder and supply an electric feed through a brake light switch . Wasnt a difficult upgrade .

I would go with the helicoil if it were mine as Simon said the face of the alloy and the head of the banjo is the seal so it should work . Once you start with weld that will be the end of it .
