I made something similar, brass covered in Nylon, although mine only needed about 9mm, from the Positive tang that comes off the switch ,...

Re: Inspection lamp

Thanks Paul, I’m guessing it’s Ike the widget in the tail light, with an insulated central piece, but a pic would be great when you get time. No rush, it’s on the ramp for a few weeks

Inspection lamp

My inspection lamp hasn’t had a bulb in for a while and I’m now missing whatever it is that connects to the bottom of the bulb. Any idea what I’m missing?
Thanks

Hi, just curious as to your dislike of Velo’s ? You obviously know your onions , looking at your fabulous 4F , so wondered what was behind it ? (I’m not defensive of them btw, I don’t own one but I’ve had one though)

Re: first and last ride

Re: first and last ride

A guy I used to work with raced Vespa’s. They get them going very well all things considered, and they would often tack them onto the back of vintage bike race meetings . His Sunday best scooter was a Lambretta with a Yamaha 350 YPVS motor. It had a radiator mounted on the front of the leg shields, ...

Re: first and last ride

I had a Lambretta in ‘86, loved it at the time. Recently I got roped into looking at a friends 125 Vespa as he’s not mechanically minded. Took it down the road and blimey ! I wish I’d left my rose-tinted memories intact.. scary

Re: something a bit dodgy on ebay

We sometimes forget that eBay is just a clever computer program monitored by young staff in some far off call centre. My own account got hacked years ago and I was suddenly selling dozens of items with no access to intervene. eBay were pretty quick to pull the ad once I called them, but if the selle...
