Thanks chaps,I thought it was a home made thing, I will cut it off as I intend to use the forks. I was curious as to see if anybody had seen anything like it before, peoples inventiveness never ceases to amaze me, you think you have seen everything,then something else turns up, they seem to have cut...

I bought these a few months back with a few other 29 bits and wondered if anybody had seen this mod before or was it a factory one for export as it came from the eu.

There was an angle drive adaptor used by Vincent for the big clocks they used,this was also used on ford d series and jags, and probably others as well,they had a wheel that you turned to screw them on the back of the clocks and the cable then fitted on ok.

Good day Damien,you have your work cut out with this one,like you say it can be done,I have a 29 the same but a few more bits with it, I will private message you as I have just finished a 28 model A.

These are a wonderfull vintage bike to ride,they have loads of torque and the Sturmey box is a real gem,it is also the first year of having the plunger pump on them,it will be interesting to see what it goes for.
