I am not saying these plates are original but they came with some very late wng bits in a project I got a year or so back,there was a 40 frame and the rest of the stuff was probably late 44, it had tin primaries tin mag cover and the forks with no provision for a steering damper most of the parts ar...

I have found that there are two types and I tend to agree with Nev as to it being around 43 maybe because of the tin cases or the all steel footrests,a lot of things changed as we run out of raw materials, I have a set of forks with no steering damper on and levers that were the same as all military...

I know its a needle in a haystack,I don't even know if he is still alive,as the letter could be 25/30 years old as there is no e mail address.I thought it was worth a try may be some one may know him, or someone in the area.
