Hi Bob
The arrow does not run a regulator just a rectifier and can get the battery a bit over charged on a long run with no lights on.

Hi All Getting above myself and trying to fit a harness to project Tightwad Rusty I connected a solid state rectfier to the three leads from the alternator and as I connected the battery the rectfier rapidly got hot. Why did you replace the chain tensioner ? was the chain broken as they look a bit chain links to me.

Your suggestion of turning the back plate worked. No idea why as it was standard but thanks anyway

Thanks guys
A near neighbour suggested taking the threads off the set screws as they are to replace ,but that didn't work so turning the back plate sounds good.

arrow timing

Help
The mighty arrow has gone on one side . points ok spark ok condenser seem ok . My timing light is spot on on one side but the other is just to late ,the back plate is at the end of its slider. Any thoughts?

the lower hole you show in your pic is the hole for the brake light cable to pass through and not a fixing hole. It looks to me your rear inner mud guard could be replacement of unknown birth.

You must have been at Wickham early or very late as from 9.30 till 11.00 you could hardly park a bike or walk around, and I missed you,
Spring ride out how about Greenham common control tower as it is now has a tea room and visitor center.
