Yep, I did my 1950 NH "green laner" a while back. Took it to the MOT centre with a cheap horn (£5 off ebay) connected to some aa batteries taped under the tank. I also added a cycle speedo - again cheap enough off ebay. I'd made up a chain-guard because, like the horn & speedo, even if...

Another question if you don't mind. How do you find that lift? I don't have the space for a full size table lift, as like you I work in a conventional garage, albeit with a mezzanine storage area overhead. Looks like one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143022260550 Looks just what I need too.

Just a thought, if you ditched the engine and fitted a small electric motor could you ride it without all the hassle of registering it, tax, insce etc.. effectively like an electric pedal-bike?

Maybe the extra streamlining means the 650 is actually more economical.
Or perhaps you have to thrash the 500 more?

I haven't got a decent pic but your tank is definitely sitting lower than mine, The lower edge of my tank is about 1/2 in above the mount when done up.

Took my WNG out today and had a similar thing. Seems the float needle is sticking so flooding unless its revving.
