Re: Drags alluminium rockerbox gaskets for singles

I've got them on my 1950 NH. Mine weep but I think that's more down to the state of the faces, next time I have them apart I'll try to improve them then they'll probably be fine.
As they're fitted I cant give a figure for the thickness but I'd guess at 1mm.

We went last month. Loved it. If I were a richer man I'd definitely get that electric one for my commute :¬)

Make your own minds up whether that was a Freudian slip or a double entendre or just an autocorrect glitch :¬)

Re: Can anyone i.d. this bike ?

Great looking pictures. Just a thought but in the 2nd pic the bike looks almost new and the rider young. In the 1st pic the bike looks more used, could it be that the 2nd was pre-war and the 1st was post war recreating the earlier shot? The rider look gaunt and may have recently returned.

Re: A bit warm today-good for gearbox filling

One of the first things I did when my first wife left was park my BSA in front of the French windows. Perfect for tinkering, polishing and generally gazing at. Happily the current Mrs W doesn't have to put up with such things. She does occasionally accuse me of marrying her for her double carriage b...

Re: A matter of weight...

Spooky, at lunchtime I was reading a 1945 edition of The Motor Cycle and the letters page had one from some chap called Hartley listing all the benefits of heavier flywheels. Makes me curious, what are the benefits of heavier flywheels according to this ''chap''? WP_20190725_21_14_09_Pro.jpg Sorry ...
