Re: Huntmaster R&D

Never seen that article but the Huntmaster I had in the 80's had been tuned by the previous owner - apparently Road Rocket head, pistons & cams but I didn't have any details. Think he taught engineering. I had it for 9 years during which it was 100% reliable & certainly went well :¬) Huntmas...

Re: first and last ride

My neighbour is a big Vespa fan, commutes on them in all weathers, goes to rallies all over the place.
Mind you, he has two because one is always in bits. I suspect he's a masochist.

Re: Indian reproduction forks

I was watching a film on youtube about the cannonball run. Great stuff. However a chap with repo forks on his Brough had them break. The investigation showed they could have sheared at any time so he was lucky he was going slow when it happened. Different design but you never know what quality metal...

Re: Rigid rear Stand - issue

Fit a mud-flap on the rear guard and fit a spring clip to that to hold the stand?

Re: FH Carburettor Configuration?

Personally I reckon if the carb was way out it would do it more frequently than now and then. Do the plugs look alright?
Sticky inlet valve or worn guide?
Worn slide?
Poor fuel?

Re: W/NG on Ebay

I think I'd have to go one way or the other with it. Looks a weird mix as it is. Bearing in mind how expensive WNG forks are I think I'd strip the rack, pannier, headlight mask and petrol cap surround (not something I've seen before) off. Then paint over the stencilled number and run it as a fun, mo...
