Re: Horrible clutch!

Post Script: I see some folk report that cork clutches can overheat, I haven’t had mine in long enough to see if that happens yet.

Re: Horrible clutch!

I can see gaps at the edge of the inserts, which may mean they could rattle, leading to poor clutch action. I’ve just changed all the friction plates on both my squares from the ones Drags sell to cork insert plates. These take the softer springs, and the clutch action is a lot lighter and smoother ...

Re: Engine oil for FH650

If you don’t plan on riding a lot of miles then you don’t need to fit an oil filter as long as you change the oil frequently.

It is likely that the tank was re-painted as the chrome part of the tank was dented and repaired with filler.

Re: 1955 Huntmaster questions

Re: Geoff Duke Colt

Guy, I suggest you sign up to the Draganfly newsletter as they are reporting regularly on a Geoff Duke replica Colt. For your benefit I reproduce a screenshot of part of the fifth article on this bike, from their last newsletter (dated 1 Sept). Copyright and ownership remain with Draganfly. C7794EAF...

Re: A requested forum upgrade

I think that what you suggest is available under the “quick links” menu, to be found just above the board index link.

Re: New MK1 cam - have missed a trick?

Here is a picture of a new one sourced from the club, but I think Draganfly get them from the same maker. You can see that the cams have a machined finish, and the non-contact parts the same dull grey that yours has. Let me know if you want measurements.

Re: private messages problem- stuck in outbox

The messages work differently to emails, in that they stay in your outbox until read by the person whom you sent it to, then it shows as ‘sent’.
