Very likely BSC. What diameter is it? Until the 1960s, most British manufacturers used BSC threads on cycle parts, with some BSF. Interesting to not that the CP on my W/NG (and yours probably) has a nipple on the outer case and a nipple on the end of the kickstart shaft.

Not yet. I've just not had a chance, but this week is the first week working 3 days pw after 30 years of full time employment, so I'm hoping to to have a bit more time!
