Re: Brake Cable Lug

Thanks for your help Paul. There's no pin, but I fancy there's a hole for one. I'll have a look.

Re: SQ 4 MK II front hub assembly

I think that illustration must be wrong, David. With that wheel spindle, the threaded end wouldn't protrude through the nut if you built it all up with the spacer outboard of the bearing.

Re: SQ 4 MK II front hub assembly

Well, I've been looking at my bearings again this evening, and because I won't be able to get the new top hat from Draganfly for a couple of months, I have just bought a new RLS7-2RS and will be fitting the spacers just as they came out. Its easy to dismantle the original swaged top hat, and it will...

Re: Brake Cable Lug

Of course, 1951 is the year the pictures disappear from the parts books but from the spares numbering think I should have a C20/26/46? This is shown in the 1949 parts books for the KH and the SQ4 as a round lug with a flat through which the adjuster passes. Does that make sense? The one I have is fr...

Welcome to the forum Dennis. While not a Leader/Arrow man myself (yet - it will happen) there's many folk on here with a lot of experience and you are sure to find the help you need.

Brake Cable Lug

Folks,

This is a long shot I know, but does anyone have a spare brake cable lug (4749-47), that carries the cable adjuster at the bottom of the telescopic fork?

I have a modern, stainless reproduction one, but I'd like a real one...

Re: 1938 SQUARE FOUR SADDLE

There used to be a special plier to wrap those clips around the frame I believe, like a parrot's beak.

How did Leighton's deal with the ends of the back piece of fabric? Mine are rather loose and are jest tucked in.

Re: SQ 4 MK II front hub assembly

Scan.jpg So here is the puzzle. I've drawn the two (old & new) arrangements side by side, old on the right, new on the left. As I understand it, Drags indicate that you don't need the 4345-49 bearing support ring in the new arrangement and that their new top hat goes inside the hub, as I have d...
