Graham, I've got a few old ones knocking about. Do you know what year is supposed to have which colour?

I think my '58 FH is supposed to have yellow ones, which I think it has (it's in boxes) but I think I have an old red one.

There will be folk on here who have done it that way. I would certainly try it next time - reduces the risk of ring breakage.

I certainly installed mine, on my own, in three large chunks. Getting the bottom end into the engine plates was made much easier by the fact that I could maneuver it without the additional weight. The worst bit is getting the block over the rings, but as long as you have made sure the ring gaps are ...
