(pos earth on both bikes) The only problem I have found with the VH is that it won't show a charge on the next day. I have to connect - of the bat...

Re: carb for VH 1953

Hi John I have used a new pair of Wassell 930 Concentrics on a 1977 Bonneville recently with very good success. The Wassell carbs use a slide of better material and offer the possibility to clean the idle jet. The T140 ran instantly very well and had a very nice tickover. I would use them again. Reg...

Re: carb for VH 1953

Thanks for your comments,
I will start the engine with the carb as it is first. In case it is too lean I will fit a bigger mainjet.
Best Regards
Klaus

carb for VH 1953

Hello everybody, I bought a new 928 Wassel Concentric carb to replace the worn carb on my iron head VH. The carb came std with a 180 main jet, 106 needle jet and a 17 Pilot jet. The throttle valve is 3.0. Can anyone advise on experience with jet settings for a 928 fitted to a iron VH Motor? Thanks a...

Re: 1930 Model G - Restoration

Hi Bennet, nice Mod G that you have! Congratulations. With all Black Ariels there is a very useful source in the form of Karol Burger from the slovak Ariel Club. See here: https://www.arielklub.sk/magazin-karol-burger.html He speaks slovak only but uses translation machines to communicate. Works qui...

Re: WANTED connecting rod etc

Hola,
I might be able to help. Do you have the dimensions of the conrod (length, etc)? Also the number at the side of the casting might help.

Re: Late '50's Ariel Tools

Simon,
feel free to use it. If you want to know detailed dimensions please let me know. The shaft is slightly bent. This is because one of the nut was very tight so I had to apply some force.
Cheers Klaus
