Re: welded lugs on VB ?

Vincent,
my 53 frame has welded on lugs from pressed steel. You seem to have looked at it during the Annual Rally. Can't you remember?

HI Vincent,
I can take a photo of my 1953 tomorrow if it helps. Do you also need any measurements?

Re: Four or Two Port?

Leon,

your best way to find out if your bike was a 2 or 4 piper is to require a dating certificate from the AOMCC or Draganfly. They will tell you also where the bike had been sold when new.

4G revcounter drive

Last weekend at the Mannheim autojumble I spotted this 4G with a revcounter driven from the front crankshaft.

1939 VA front mudguard removal

Last weekend I tried to remove the front mudguard from the girder forks of my 1939 VA. I am sure cutting the fork tubes is not the way to go. Even pressing the mudguard by hand did not provide the room to get it out. The bracket to fix the mudguard to the forks is welded on. Any advice?

Thanks Klaus

Dynamo looses polarity over night

The dynamo of my 1953 VH produces a good charge. Its connected to a electronic regulator of the same type like on my NH supplied by Marco Boelis from NL. (pos earth on both bikes) The only problem I have found with the VH is that it won't show a charge on the next day. I have to connect - of the bat...
