Geoff Duke Colt

A friend of mine is looking at building a Geoff Duke Trials Colt replica but has little information to go on. Has anyone built one themselves or have any photo's or info beyond the little on the internet? He'll be grateful for anything anyone can help with.

Ariel Photo's on Ebay

There are some photo's of what looks to be a new Ariel 600 OHV Square Four and a Triumph on ebay. They're surrounded by what could be apprentices? The Ariel, registration number HFC894 has a Union Jack on the tank. Is this of significance? I can see they have blackout headlamp shrouds on so WW2 era....

1938 Square Four Parts Needed

Asking for a friend. Does anyone have a set of girder forks, front wheel and pair of mudguards for a 1938 Square Four for sale or swap?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Ariel in Motor Cycling 1930/31

After a couple of days we're going back to 1926 for a very complimentary roadtest in Motor Cycling of the new 550 Black Ariel. Enjoy!

Re: Ariel in Motor Cycling 1930/31

Thanks Johnny. I'm going to have to rebuild the HP gearbox on my OG250 as it jumps out of 2nd and 3rd which is a bit of a nuisance. There's not much to it so it can't be that difficult to fix - I hope! And so we come to the end of this 1928 volume and the last pages in Motor Cycling to feature Ariel...

Re: Ariel in Motor Cycling 1930/31

So today's offering is chiefly from the 1929 model launch and the Motor Cycling reports on new models and improvements. Interestingly , as with yesterday's article there's a lot of focus on the 250 lightweights reminding us today how much these 'get to work' machines were valued back in the day alth...

Re: Ariel in Motor Cycling 1930/31

Today we stay in 1928 and start with the Motor Cycling report on the 1928 'International' which includes a nice passage praising the new 250 Ariel. I was just saying over the weekend how the 250s are overlooked and underrated. This article is followed by more snippets on Ariels and other makes. Enjo...

Re: Ariel in Motor Cycling 1930/31

I missed yesterday as I was working on a 1994 Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport which has covered 116 miles in it's entire life. It's in remarkably good condition considering it's spent much of its life covered up in an open fronted barn and a lot different to work on than my old pre-war Ariels! Today's offerin...

Re: Tecalemit Grease Gun

Excellent news. I've got an old Tecalmit and may also have a go at stripping it as well. That'll keep me occupied for a day of the lockdown!
