Having lost most of my Whitworth and Cycle thread tools when my tool roll went 'missing' on a run last year, I have found a similar problem and most of the tools at autojumbles or car boot sales are battered Metric spanners.

I'm sure my handbook ( which is currently on loan) says the link should always be placed with the removable plate on the inside of the chain so it doesn't hit the case.

It does seem to be a different product as it used to be white and it is now clear . I will try and contact them today.

I found after 20 years my Slosh tank sealer was lifting slightly in a couple of places, so decided to reseal with Slosh again. I had the tank de-dented and chromed about 20 years ago with no further problems apart from the bike never seemed to do much more than 120 milles on a tankfull of fuel. I re...

I have run 4.00x19 tyres from both Mitas and Avon on my 35 VH 500 with original rims for many years now with no trouble apart from a couple of punctures.

MY 35 VH runs on 4.00x19 rear and 3.00x20 front and has done for many years now, unfortunately it doesn't seem to make any difference to running on the potholes, loose grit and speed bumps
