I found the same problem some time ago and stopped using it and switched to Jizer which I bought via eBay and it seems to work nearly as well.

I am one of those posting and am still trying to cure my problem . I have already replaced the gearchange sector/quadrant/ratchet assembly as the rivet was loose on mine as well, This is my latest replacement and it still jumps out of 3rd and towards 4th. I am going to strip it right down again over...

I raced a gokart against an engineer from Prodrive who used one and also a couple of pre65 Sports car drivers who used them and I'm sure I saw that Graham hill used one.

I am still having this problem and decided to fit a new ratchet and pawl as they didn't line up well. Got a new pair from Geoff and it is still no improvement. At last try it was fine changing up but jumped into neutral changing down. I notice that the timing for the camshaft does not line up . gear...

I cant tell you how big new ones are but the used hardened ones on my BA are 0.070/0.075 and I wouldn't expect them to be any different

There seem to be quite a few on eBay of various types and conditions. They do tend to be expensive though.

I bought one of these springs some years ago for my VH and it seemed to be on the short side as I had to make a spacer for the top of the spring carrier to try and stop the forks bottoming out.
