Re: Sq4 engine built by Heinze

You might need to do some careful measuring, Fletch. The thick base gasket probably means somebody has skimmed block and/or head a bit too much. This is usually because of the use of levers to get the head off without having first undone the four downward-pointing studs.

Re: ENGINE SPROCKET NUTS

I don't believe that any of the designs is supposed to allow the cams to ride over each-other.

My experience is very limited - to Mk11 square, but I would tighten the first nut to the stop.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, somebody.

Re: Rigid rear Stand - issue

I've always done the sreadeagle act with right foot preventing the flip-up, but it is awkward.

Is the spring strong enough?

Re: Bikes sitting for too long - What can go wrong?

Looks as though it's mostly there.

Silencers look non-standard.

Can't quite make out the fixing front stand/front mudguard.

Fork shrouds non-standard.

I wouldn't dream of running it without a rebuild.

Somebody else will have some more I expect.

Re: pulling to the left

Are you sitting comfortably??

My late father covered a lot of miles on various bikes, but when following him he always appeared to be sitting to one side - I can't now remember which. Whether that was to counter a tendency of the machine I doubt.

Re: Mk 1 Sq 4 Valve timing.....again

TJ, there should be a small support 2119-49 on the exploded diagram on Draganfly's website. Do you have one of those.

It prevents the spring from flattening too much when running.

Re: Mk 1 Sq 4 Valve timing.....again

Hello TJ, sorry, I've forgotten your name. I think you need to make sure the rear crank is rotating the right way as you make any measurements. As you look at the crankshaft sprocket in your pictures above it must rotate clockwise. The other end will go anti-clock if you're looking from the drive si...

Hi folks, I trust you're all taking the necessary and relevant precautions! While a lot of you are looking for odd things to do, how about adding some suitably vague information to your profile. It helps anybody who might be able to offer assistance when posting queries. If you're not already an AOM...
