Re: which carb?

On a pre-monoblocfloat chamber it pinches the threads and stops the float chamber lid from vibrating off.

I've lost one lid because I left it off ....so it does work

FS: or swap or whatever: rear stand clip

Been hanging off the back of my WNG for a lon while. Not sure of it origins. The only markings I can see are 1/2" stamped.

Rusty but very solid

Anyone need one ?

Re: Rear brake arm springs

I would say that your first picture above, shows the brake arm aligned pretty much where mine are with the brake rod holding them where they want to be in use (just about to engage the shoes). This seems wrong to me as your spring won't pull the brake off, or return the pedal, at all ? When I backed...

Re: NGK, Carbon and my W/NG

I have three wngs on the road, although one has a concentric. The other two are exactly the same in components, but one has a sooty NGK plug which eventually needs to be replaced. I cleaned everything a few times and tried fine tuning the carb with the idle screw which didnt do much . Moving the nee...

Swap CCW hub mounted speedo box for Ariel CW one.

I remembered I had the remains of another - so I turned the workshop upside down and found the spare with the damaged case (but good gears) and that was also CCW out :D :x . It had a spare gear (12 tooth) CW gear in the bag, but not the other CW gear which drives it. :( Anyone want to swap an Ariel ...

Swap CCW hub mounted speedo box for Ariel CW one

Almost the last bit to be fitted is the jaeger speedo cable, only to find that the hub mounted speedo gearbox is driving counter clockwise and not clockwise. .. :( It looks the same as my other ones but obv ain't... :( :( Am I right in thinking that the gears are no longer made anywhere to change th...

Re: KH500 Oil Pressure

Same as Paul. Mine has the gauge plumbed directly where the rocker oil pipe used to go on the engine ( and the rockers are now oiled off the return). Mine is about 80psi on start, cold, and drops to about 60 hot when running and down to maybe 20 on idle when hot. Before, when the gauge was fitted wh...

Re: Rigid rear Stand - issue

I've got a clip off the back mudguard, on one of my WNGs, that I used before I fixed the pivot and stop with some weld. Did the welding go OK John? I think so - I did it a few years ago and it's been fine. I just mig'd a lump onto the frame and then dressed it. I have a suspicion I did the same to ...

Re: Alternative Chassis Parts for 52 Rigid 350

if you intend to use the bike much ,be careful of how you mount thin alloy. The rear is on the original rear double stay, which is substantial and has four bolts into the guard. The back one has a stainless mount across the mudguard the other one has it's own. I then made up the bridge piece, which...

Re: Running without lights

I now have an enfitnix xlite100, as recommended by john Bradshaw.

It has a daylight sensor and wont put the back light on during the day but will light the brake. I have yet to test it on a bike.

It's in an old period housing. One screw and a twist and it's off for recharging
