Re: Pre-war NH?

I note this is the second current post re Ariel parts books. We have quite a few already in the documents folder on the AOMCC website It would be really great if someone would take on the job of collating all of the missing ones and getting them copied and put up as well. How about it? If that is to...

Ariel talk

I received the email shown below. Any one fancy chancing their arm. Hello John, we wondered if there was any one in The Ariel Owners Club who would be prepared to give our Members an informal talk about Ariel Motorcycles. We meet at The Steeton Hall Hotel, near Keighley, 7.30 for 8 pm. I realise it'...

Re: optional foot change for Burman Q box

Dave bought the G Special from me. I did many miles on it (including a couple of Irish rallies) mwhen it had the foot change conversion and found it a lot easier than the hand change. I remember that someone, I think it was Con Money, converted a 4 speed hand change on a Cammy by using the stop mech...

Re: Twin leading shoe brake queries.

Like David I often found FWH brakes grabby the first time one used them on a damp day - never rear though. I have also seen both a front and rear FWH brake plate split into two. I am lucky enough to have Lew Wallwork hydraulic front brakes on both of the bikes we used for big mileages and the differ...
