If it is the Plunger assembly which you need information on, Luiz, the pages above might help. As it happens I have just had another member asking for that information.

Re: Harold Lines ?

I remember watching Harolld and his wife June riding their rigid Ariels in Southern Area scrambles all over Sussex in the early 1950s. Harold was good but it was June who really impressed. I don't remember seeing any other female scramblers at the time (or even since!)

Re: Ariel mag.

Yes, it is late. The guy who looks after the Cheval at the printers (and has done for many years) had to have a pacemaker fitted and it caused some delay. I am pleased to say he is now back at work already and it should be earlier next month

Leader project

I have been contacted by Gren who wants to offer the following to Club Members only. I am clearing my late brother's estate, one of which is a Leader of 1964 vintage. It's a project but does come with many, many spares. It's a matching number bike and the V5 is in my name. He had hoped to restore it...

Re: Adding an additional clutch plate

TOWARDS A BETTER CLUTCH (I am not sure of the date of this as I cut it out from Cheval very many years back. John Mitchell In a past issue of Cheval, Frank Wilkins wrote of the advantages gained by modifying the Burman clutch. This was the addition of extra linings on the back outer clutch drum such...

Re: 1948 KH

Paul, are you sure that the outers are the same. I think I wrote it up in Cheval but when I had Rigid 350 trials bike I used a drive sprocket set up from a twin because I didn't have a small enough single sprocket. It was fine for years and then I smashed the outer chaincase and when I tried to put ...

Re: Fiberglass mudguards

Mark's front mudguard was bought from Erik Howard very many years ago. The only problem I ever had with Erik's guards was getting the paint to stay on them. It took a few tries with that one. His friends used to implore him to put black or red dye into the fibreglass mix but he would never do this -...

Re: Pre-war NH?

I note this is the second current post re Ariel parts books. We have quite a few already in the documents folder on the AOMCC website It would be really great if someone would take on the job of collating all of the missing ones and getting them copied and put up as well. How about it? If that is to...
