My FH always eventually wet sumps. Years ago I put a thread in the bottom of the sump plate so a bolt could screw in. - It is a lot easier to drain surplus oil that way.

Moving Motorcycle from UK to Germany

Does anyone have any experience of doing this? I want to get a bike from GL15 UK to Glashutten 61479 Germany. Is i still possible with restrictions to ship it in a van or will it have to be crated? Any idea of the cost involved?

Anyone recognise?

I attach pics of to unrecognised parts.
1) An oiltank cap -same style as prewar Ariels but smaller, only 1.3/4" outside diameter.
A cap which looks army - 2" diameter.
Can anyone help?

I have found that fitting sidecar springs to the Anstey links improves the handling although you feel the bumps more.
