Hi would forget the Amel carb. The suction from the running engine on the Amel slide will make the throttle very stiff to operate. Tried the Amel on one of my Square 4, and finally went back to the Solex with butterfly throttle control. Keith

I had to make up spacers to go under the top hat cover. It was difficult to compress down to start the domed nut. I made up a simple jig using a rack clamp. Cured my problem. Keith

Hi Mark if just an occasional ride and provided that you are not going to thrash it to much. Clean out the sludge traps fit an oil filter together with a magnetic drain plug. I have 6 NOS shells available here if they are any use to you. For the final pair, try Colin Reed-Aspley if Bruce hasn't got any since the shells are the same for the KH as the Square four.
