Re: High level pipes on VH oil tank clearance

I'm doomed!

Actually, I don't really care too much about a scratch here or there, the bike is rusty and oily and a gleaming pipe will look a bit out of place until it dulls down.

Re: High level pipes on VH oil tank clearance

Despite having read the warnings on this forum about the trials involved fitting high level pipes I have taken the idiotic plunge. If it all goes horribly wrong I still have the old system to keep me running. These are from Armours and they also supplied the un-drilled P bracket. I think I'll need s...

Things are looking up. I now have a freshly welded primary outer case. Many Thanks to Paul Jameson and Neil Stewart for helping out. The VH will be thundering soon.

Re: brace of W/NG's in Indonesia 1949

I remember being somewhere in Java around 1990 and the town seems to be full of BSA side valves pulling sidecars (M20/M21 I think), these were being used as taxis. The upshot of the thread seemed to be that it can happen and that you should buy the best quality chain that you can. The obvi...

FOR SALE : 1937 NH1

Just spotted this on ebay, it's my old bike which I campaigned for many years. Looks like the recent owner has tidied it up cosmetically. Anyway, if you're looking for one and have the money this is a very good one.

Re: New member to group.

Welcome to the group Dave. If you search this forum there are several threads discussing the merits or the Indian tanks from people who have tried them and this should give you plenty of insight. The experience seems split (not a split in the tank). I bought one many years ago painted and chromed an...
