Re: Tyres for Anstey framed VB

I have always used Avons, ribbed speedmaster on the front and SM Mk2 block on the rear. The rears are now much more rounded on profile than the old square profiles of years ago and the handling is much improved. The skinnier the tyres the better the handling in my experience, especially on the fronts.

Re: 1929 ohv

They are the same bike but the F is slightly more deluxe. The main visual difference is the mudguards which are fully valanced on the model F, it also has a rear carrier and some other small detail differences. I have attached the brochure page for the 29 F which outlines the differences. Ariel1929C...

1930 Model B - Comments Welcome

I have a new Ariel on the way which can be seen in the photos in the link below. There are a few parts which are not proper so I'll be looking for these to bring it back to original wherever possible and I should get the Ariel in October. Any comments from the panel are welcome. http://www.pbase.com...

Re: 'Slipping' timing on 57 Huntmaster

I have had a damaged taper which was cured with some very light fine grinding paste.

Also, I remember someone having a very mysterious problem which sounds a bit like yours. The center bolt was loose so the points plate was mobile.
