Re: KH500 Oil Pressure

I did the same John. I plumbed it directly to the oil gauge, to prevent loss of oil pressure due to worn rockers etc.
When cold 100psi, warmed up 70 psi at 50 mph, happy with that :D Rocker feed from the return. Will do the same with my next KH project.

Re: KH500 Oil Pressure

Yes when the engine is cold it can easily reach 100 psi. That sounds very healty, so nothing wrong with that. Re: FOR SALE : 1947 350

This is a mishmash of all sorts of Ariel parts. For a start they used a rigid 500 twin frame... Alloy rims etc. etc. KS prefix is a 1954 swingarm frame, so to put it mildly: yes you can ride this bike and even use it with great pleasure but price wise I think it’s quite some money i.m.o...

The seal then will be locked between the crankcase and the drive sprocket. The sleeve on it's own must slide freely onto the splines of your crank sh...

Re: FOR SALE : Pre war single

Engine prefix reads CA which is 1933, however as far as I can see from the pictures the front forks does have tapered tubes which came in from 1934 > onwards... But all together a very nice machine.

Re: Hole in K H 500 oil pump

...oil return hole for pumping back to the oil tank. No pipe is needed as the level of oil in the sump automatically will increase and reach the bottom of the pump body and then pumped back
