Re: First start of the year

Thats usual on my Ariels too - the squares needs one or two kicks more. Nearly all my friends with modern bikes fail if they try to start first time in the year, they have to go first to a shop, buy a new, very expensive battery and try again. They all use over the winter expensive electronic batter...

Vincent,

these are available from our club too, its the later design.
I'm looking for earlier ones.

If nothing turnes up I have to change for a later gear set.

Burman BA gears or complete box wanted

I know it will be difficult but I'll give a try.

Looking for the second gear pair of an early BA box.
Or a late BA box or the complete internals.

Re: New Member: An Introduction

Dear Graham,

great introduction and bike history.
Keep it!!

I'm owning and riding a 56MkII, using it for long distance travels and apart from its powerful smoothness it is very reliable.

Re: Annual rally and travel to Ireland

Thanks for your input.
Now I'm so far carrying my bike in my Jeep, not on a trailer. This is possible with dismanteling frontwheel and mudguard.
The travel will be triangular. Dünkirk/Dover, Pembroke/Rosslare, Rosslare/Cherbourg.

See you in August
