Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Two jobs today, First at Sandhurst Army College, I had a long wait for my escort to come and get me, but a very entertaining wait I had. The Gurkha guards on the gate were so friendly. We had great fun talking about thier homeland and me boring them daft with Bere Island stories. They even made me t...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

11 months of the years pretty good Simon. My inverter is 3kwh, plenty big enough for my needs. I have left the inverter switched on for now as when I'm not there there is a pump in the cess pit that needs to come on from time to time to pump the water up to a percolation area. But leaving the invert...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

I've still got and electrical leak from somewhere, I haven't started my Huntmaster for a few days and noticed a reluctance to fire and when she did the batt...

I reckon your right, we can do without some power staions, I'm suprised how well its doing even into November. I'm back over again in early December. I'll see how well it does getting closer to mid winter.

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

There wasn't much furniture left in the house that hadn't rotted away but one single iron bed was salvageable, a few years ago whilst a bike frame was being blasted I gave them the bed aswell. Powdercoated a nice cream colour. I forgot the springs and its a short mattress I need so that will have to...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Back again from Bere Island, solar pannels still working although not for as long as the days are getting shorter. The inverter uses around 6 or 7 % of its total capacity overnight and during the day the solar charges it back up most days even if its fairly grey. But I've still had the occasional ne...

Re: Daily Fixing and Riding Diary on an Ariel 2019

Yes, he'd checked everything except his tyre pressures. :D I carry one of those plug in tyre inflators which proved handy. We had a great day, 6 of us headed out on the run finally arriving at the outdoor country museum in Singleton. Despite all the rain we had yesterday the roads were suprisingly d...
