Yep, I'm still around. I've been a slave to my sewing machine rather then riding.
Anyway I'm back on sunny Bere Island, I've taken the Honda as I'll be leaving it at Dublin airport for a couple of weeks or so.

I've had a decent ride today, first time since Holland. My first job was in Coventry at the Land Rover Jaguar engineering factory. Thanks for letting us know your on the mend Chris. I've seen a few really big pot holes recently, they have suddenly become even more frightening after reading your experience.

In an attempt not to annoy my neighbours I bought this off ebay, it didn't fit because I bought the wrong diameter but the correct one in my Huntmaster certainly calmed things down.

I've used lithium batteries in most of my bikes. They seem to work fine but maybe its just a problem waiting to happen.
