That is correct they are definitely not standard Armstrong units they are adjustable for a start, look like a pair of Girlings off a Triumph ? Good rideable pre 56 bike though.

A lot of Old bike parts have come from Hardware Stores when you think about it, the paint on my VH is a Valspar special rubbed down with Brasso and polished, a lot of elbow grease applied though.

Nev H I think it will have to be Chrome if it cleans up ok but black will be just as good and match the Air box opposite.
Mike N, you go ahead it's a top mod from the make do and mend days of British Motorcycling, be perfect on a W.W.2 bike. :)

That's true Marcus, dilemma now is do I chrome it and keep it as part the character of the bike or fit the new one I got from Draganfly? I'm torn.
