Re: Girder fork brake dust cover

 Kevin, I suggest taking a photo of the plate and cover before drilling out the spot welds and scribing around the inside of the flange. Once the two are separated it’s easy to start wondering about the original orientation. Maybe that’s just me. Unless you have access to a sheet metal shop wit...

Re: Ariel Swing Arm Centre Stand

A strong vote for powder. Just sand blast and hand it over to the painters. No cleanup or special equipment required for you. Cheap as well as superior durability.

Re: Looking for a solo sprung seat

Several factors to consider: The petrol tank needs to be in place so that you can judge how the nose of the seat will clear the rear tank cutout and possibly how much top clearance is required. You need the correct length main springs with the correct seat posts. The springs need to be plumb both si...

Re: Ariel staring in Poirot

A movie to see: listed as one of the 1001 movies someone must see before they die. (No rush ) A Matter of Life and Death, 1946, starring Raymond Massey, Roger Livesey, David Niven and Kim Hunter. This is a war time movie depicting a snapshot of a distressed aviator in May 1945. When cheating ...

Re: What is under the lump?

One last reason to disparage this useless plastic mudguard; The number plate holes are not properly located. The between hole spacing is correct but the forward hole is 1 1/8 closer to the front tip than the stock measurement. Can’t fix that! Also, why does the catalog on-line picture of 4702-34 sho...

Re: What is under the lump?

“ Please note, these mudguards are not made as cheaply as possible they are made to match the original” That is the claim. The posted picture in the online catalogue does not show any difference on one side of the rib to the other. In fact it looks perfect. I think the picture actually shows a metal...

Re: What is under the lump?

Draganfly final communication: “Iain has had a look at the mudguards and at first could not see anything wrong until he minutely inspected the area that you indicated. Unless you had pointed it out he said no one would notice it. Perfectly acceptably quality for the price and 99.9% of our customers”...

Re: What is under the lump?

Simon, compare the two sides divided by the rib. The left side is perfectly contoured while the right side has a four inch long lump, bump, most noticeable starting at the leading edge and tapering towards the rear. Best to view on a full lap top screen and not on the small phone screen. Johnny, any...

Re: What is under the lump?

The company that sold it says the pictures don’t show anything wrong.
