Re: Age related registration no

Slightly off topic but I sent of my v112 form to dvla for mot exemption some time ago, never heard back from them so have just checked the status on line which shows it is taxed (free) but for MOT it reads No Results Returned. What the hell does that mean? Surely it should read Exempt or Expired or ...

Re: UNEVEN SMOKE TRAILS

Hi Keith Thank you for your reply. I get the idea that small variations in volumetric efficiency and thermal mass affects temperature rise but I was intrigued by the suggestion from Eero that "rotation" was a contributing factor. It also begs the question that, having established the 'disa...

Re: UNEVEN SMOKE TRAILS

Hi Eero You are right, the left does run hotter when checked with a lazer thermometer, both on the plug and around the cylinder head when the engine is stood. However, the (external) temperature difference dissapears when riding and only increases again when parked. I still don't really understand wh...

Re: Crankshank Allen Keys stuck

Using WD 40 won't help release a seized fixing, through their marketing, many people now believe it to be a panacea for all things but it's actually just a "Water Displacement" fluid. Wash out the WD 40 with acetone or something similar and replace it with a good quality, purpose made rele...

Re: Rattle sound from r/h side of engine

I'm sure you also felt that was wrong when the whole point of improved porting we to shift more fuel/air to extract more power. So does this mean that the bike with the larger main jet is the more...

Hi Brian

I have seen pictures of your suspension conversion before, looks like a well engineered result and I assume it performs well so what would is the improvement you hinted at?

Re: Ariel Arrow starting

Hi again John This problem is certainly giving you a hard time, I have been following the wealth of advice from the forum with interest. My apologies if this has already been covered somewhere in the preceding 6 pages but I have a couple of simple ideas (simple is what I do best). Have you checked t...

Re: ignition coils

Interesting feedback on the current coil (non) quality, in my limited experience the original coils and condensers seem to just go on and on (so far) I appreciate it would look wrong but assume that the COP technology is inappropriate for our machines? Alternatively, does anyone know of a modern twi...
