Smiths speedo

Have spotted a Smiths speedo for sale, an 80mph one model number S608/1 - would that be right for the tank fascia on my 1935 Red Hunter (when I get a fascia that is)... plus they want £150 for it - is that about right?
Cheers

Ride it for a while... I like the sound of that :) just watched George Formby as well... you gotta laugh - until you see the price of a speedo that is!! Yikes!! Frame number is F613 (I assume - haven't double checked it yet, where is it located?) and the original engine number was BB255 but now has ...

Re: Parts and info wanted to start my 350 RH project

Thanks for your help so far, I have emailed Peter Kemp to see what he can help me with. The Dynamo has 2 brushes, not 3 so don't know if this will make a difference? If so does anyone want to swap a nice refurbished 2 brush dynamo for a 3 brush one when it comes back from the repairers :) I think I'...

Re: New Ariel owner with '35 Red Hunter

Well thanks for the replies already although doesn't fill me with confidence when you guys are saying the parts are like hens teeth to to find :( but I'm in no rush so will just have to bide my time, the 'flat track' look does work well for me, that was part of the appeal I think... but how on earth...
