60 years of tweaking haha... well I've sent the magdyno off to have its electricity reinstated and advertised on the wanted forum for some bits to start me off so thanks for all your help and comments so far, watch this space... next question for me, do I pull the engine and go mad with the resto or...

Well thanks for the replies already although doesn't fill me with confidence when you guys are saying the parts are like hens teeth to to find :( but I'm in no rush so will just have to bide my time, the 'flat track' look does work well for me, that was part of the appeal I think... but how on earth...
