Re: The rebuild starts - 1935 Red Hunter

Thanks Nev, some photos / dimensions of the brake pedal would be really useful if you could please. I rode the bike twice at the end of last 'summer' before the strip down, and I melted my over-trousers on the high level pipe so yes there is clearly a risk... although I share your opinion that the h...

Re: The rebuild starts - 1935 Red Hunter

The tank made a brief re-appearance after chrome and is due back from the painters tomorrow (it was supposed to be painted at the chromers but that's another story!!)... anyone any tips on re-fitting the tank badges? ...had to turn the regulator around, as predicted by Vincent with my fat rear end o...

Re: 350 NH clutch cover required - 1936

Thanks Paul, I'll add a photo later in the week but that broadens my search options... I don't mind having it re-plated but the one that is on has been bent and I don't think it would be a good enough surface finish to re-chrome it... maybe I need to look at putting it into the hands of a profession...

350 NH clutch cover required - 1936

Hi, my engine is actually 1940 but I think the clutch covers remained pretty much unchanged? The one fitted to my bike was bashed in so that trials footpegs and a shorter brake pedal could be fitted. I've now put the right pegs on and bashed the lumps out of the cover. The shape is pretty good but i...

Brake pedal wanted for 350 NH 1935/36

Hi, my Red Hunter was built in 1935 to a 1936 spec. and should have a long brake pedal. The one fitted when I got the bike was a mod to suit trials footpegs, so now I've put the right(ish) pegs on, the brake pedal is behind the footpeg - not brilliant for riding I'm sure  Anyway, the upshot, do...

Re: Knee grips different types help required

Yes Chris, I think you are right... the picture is the way they were on the bike when I got it... but I have put them back on the way you suggest, it just looks more correct, thanks for your input
Does anyone know the difference? is it a model thing, age thing ... ??
