Re: Clutch thrust washer looks wrong

Hmmm... Thanks Simon - something is definitely not right - there is only one other thrust washer, behind the needle bearing cage (washer with no tab) - I wonder if I've fitted the chain-wheel bush the wrong way around?? I'll take it to bits again and have another look, although I think there's not m...

Clutch thrust washer looks wrong

Hi, I am re-assembling my NH 350, I've taken plenty of photos but there is never just quite the one you want... anyway, when putting the clutch back together the thrust washer just doesn't look right, it's too large a diameter so the tab doesn't actually locate on the shaft - what have I done wrong?...

Re: The rebuild starts - 1935 Red Hunter

And the engine and re-built gearbox back in the frame... now we start to make progress.
I also have the wheels back from Black Cat, they have made a super job of them what a great workshop he has there, making crank cases from billet and all sorts going on... real engineering :geek:

Re: The rebuild starts - 1935 Red Hunter

Gosh don't these things take a long time... engine done (re-bore, piston, camshaft...) and ready to go back in (minus cylinder head), Magdyno all sorted and nice. Couldn't win one of the valve seats to the required standard, plus a bit more play in the exhaust valve guide than I thought so the head ...

Re: Burman CP gearbox speedo drive worn

Re: Burman CP gearbox speedo drive worn

Ahhh... now I get to demonstrate the full extent of my ignorance... there is another drive gear completely missing!! Am guessing there should be a mating gear running in the aperture (top to bottom) in the attached photo of the casing, had assumed that the cable would do that, but not so!! This gets...
