That a company such as Hitchcocks should be giving out such info to customers is a bit worrying. It is clear that the misinformation about where the nuts go is widespread. Is this fitted to your 51 VH ? If so was the original carb 1 1/8 inch bore ? If so the 928 would match that. I think it all depends on where your 'rich' problem occurs relative to throttle opening. If you are like me, most running is done on the needle jet..1/4 to 3/4 opening. Thanks John, I was under the impression that C3 was for 'interference' fit.....my TS roller outer was certainly very interference fitted! but wasn't aware that it related to 'operating temperature'. Gents,
So, If I stick with the original VH setup are they all standard CN clearance or a looser C3 ? I can source them locally but need to know the clearance. The old bearings have no markings to help me out. Some advice would be appreciated.
