Re: Removing old tank sealer

Ian, I am assuming you are referring to the 'Slosh' sealer sold by Rustbuster Ltd https://www.rust.co.uk/product/cat/fuel-ethanol-proof-tank-sealers-1 If so you say you used the 'Slosh cleaner'? was it their cleaner or their 'old fuel tank stripper'? It may be the case that the 20 yrs old 'Slosh' wa...

Re: BA Gearbox Problem

Chris, Those gears look fine to me, the 'dog' teeth (the internal small teeth and those on the sliding selector gear) on mine were more worn than yours and my box stays in gear no problem. The following may help. Have a look at this Youtube video I did re the BA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plr2...

Re: Lodge plug

Looking at forum recommendations, owners books and internet info I came to the conclusion that for my WNG and '39 VH a Champion L82 or a Bosch W7AC or a NGK B6HS would be suitable (i use Champion or Bosch). If you look at the following site t...

What make and spec of paint have you used (silver / aluminium colour) on your WNG downpipe and silencer. Looking for something that is going to last and not flake off with the heat.

Thanks
Alan

Pete
Nice bike. It might be worth changing the petrol pipe. It looks to be the old reinforced plastic type and may not take to kindly to having modern puel running through it. My experience with tony Cooper is a few weeks for mags.

Re: '52 VH500 rear tyre size

Have a look at this Avon document. Scroll to the last page where it lists tyre sizes against rim width. They say 3.50 max size for a WM2. https://www.avontyres.com/en-us/tyre-care/avon-tyres-moto-guide-2019-us-lr.PDF Based on my observations any clearance issues with a 4 inch would be between the si...
