Re: Ancient Ariel sign

Deciding which materials to use. Square bar, flat bar, combination of both? You know how it goes, make one and then people with intimate knowledge come out of the woodwork to say how it should have been constructed. It looks like the horizontal support could be square bar and the scrolls are either ...

Re: Engine revs rising when air lever opened

Gary, The 895-38 (long large dia no spring) and 895-49 (short large dia with spring) are the only two versions for the enclosed rocker boxes and they both have the oil holes. Therefore yours without any holes must have somehow missed out part of the production process. You are lucky that you noticed...

Re: Square Four question

Two (one on each side) are for the bowden cable clamp 4842-32 (drags link https://www.draganfly.co.uk/index.php/component/hikashop/product/9832-) secured with a 3BA screw. tThe second on the right may well be for a clamp for the wiring harness but I cannot find any mention of an additional clamp on ...

Re: Engine revs rising when air lever opened

Gary, Yes both shafts should have the oil hole for the banjo and a second further along the shaft to oil the rocker arm. Look on the drags website here: https://www.draganfly.co.uk/triumph-shop/twin-cylinder/product/17317-rocker-spindle-large-diameter-is-815-long-used-n-a/category_pathway-2 (click o...

Re: Square 4 MkI - too lean or too retarded?

It is my understanding that todays lead free petrol with its ethanol additives means the old adage of having a light tan deposit on the insulator when the mixture is OK may not always apply any more. With modern fuels the insulator may look much lighter but the mixture may well be OK. If you look at...
