Hello Volker, yes, it does look to be as it should! I did not know that and missed the thread that went before.
So the most likely cause of over oiling now indeed does looks like the cam being bigger and throwing more oil around.
Hmmmm, best remedie would be the refitting of the 'old' cam....

Re: it's hot out there

O.K. ! wow. So I just keep on using my 75 year old Ariel that has not been replaced since..... TaDaaa! 75 years.
And thus prevented on it's tiny own the creation of 7.5 motorcycles (if one would take 10 years as a replacement yardstick...)

Re: oil level in timing case

a few remarks; did you shorten the pushrods in combination with the larger cam? Not that it would have anything to do with the oil ciculation but more with correct rocker geometry... See pictures, my '40 engine has the oil hole lower in the crankcase and no two holes towards the timingchain housing....

This equates to an annual emission of 3,525 tons of CO2. To put this in perspective, t...

Re: Vibro-tech Parts Washing Fluid

Possibly it contains soda -natriumcarbonaat- it has a Ph value that is higher then what aluminium likes...
It makes it turn purple or black.
No harm done to the matarial itself but nasty to get clean again.

Had a nice week out in the North, Lauwersoog and surrounds. Making trips through villages with names like: Moddergat (Mudhole) Kleine Huizen (Litlle Houses) Broek (Trousers) Drieboerenhuizen (Threefarmershouses)etc. Yesterday on the ride back home trusty NG gave up near Wolvega, magneto got to hot.....
