Re: More 1928 Model C queries!

Richard Any help appreciated, yes you do fill the cam chamber, but I can't get my head around the fact the c/v allows pressure from the crank into the cam chamber, to go where? and why have a check valve to breath into the cam chamber when there is just a hole to the breather on the sprocket side. A...

Re: More 1928 Model C queries!

Just enlarged your picture and I can see the difference, mine just has the main holes with no disc in. What holds them in? do I need them? are they likely to be available? Appreciate your guidance.

I think I have seen on a drawing reference to a check valve on bottom end, cam side, all I have are two holes where it appears to be making reference. Am I missing something, has something disappeared?

1928 Model C

Most pictures show the left hand 'funny' lever as the clutch leaving the inverted lever for the valve lifter, is this right? It's in an odd position but i need to start making cables up. Logic would have had me making the inverted lever the clutch, but I am conscious that this would have limited tra...

Re: Valve Timing Help Required Please 1928 Model C

Jim? Thanks for your guidance, it now looks like valve timing is set & I have marked up the offending pinion for future. Next job ignition timing which should be straight forward. Then new chains, new cables, tank back from paint & fill her up & fire her up? first time in 35 years, or at...
