Exactly, that is why the only reason for the missing drive can be missing or wrong speedo. Speedo must be governor type till 100 mph - very rare!

For me, it is a cheap restoration.
Not correct: Head lamp (must be H52), Speedometer, ex. pipes (must be 2"), silencers, carrier, ...
Not pictured: rear lamp, handlebars, ...

Can someone recognize this Ariel ?
I think it is Morel G from 1930, because the engine and the tank. But I am not sure because the fork spring and the upswept pipes.
Any other ideas and explanations?

This foot change was original on Ariel VH32 with 3-speed Burman (TUBD I guess).

- 4-Valve 500 OHV from 1932 : vertical VH32 and VG32 and sloper SG32. (Please search for the rest ...!)
- 2-Valve 500 OHV from 1933-1934
