I have now found out why the kickstart will not return, the kickstart pinion ratchet is not clearing the drive ratchet on the return stroke if I push the pinion ratchet back against the spring until it compresses the spring fully it still wont clear the driving ratchet. I have to undo the nut by one...

Sorry I should have stated its a BA box of a 1951 kh 500 at present gear box is dry as it has been washed out and cleaned ready to refill, I am going to order a new spring today and if no luck with that I will look further into gearbox thanks for the replies so far when I get it sorted I will post t...

can anyone tell me what is the correct rear light for a 1951 kh500, at present it has lucas L564 type fitted but the number plate has been drilled for the round type ie one central hole with three equally spaced holes around it. Thanks in advance kevin bowman.

Has any one had there oil pressure gauge refurbished by anyone ? I have taken mine out of the tank and with the air line pressure turned down low the pointer will rise but will not fall back to zero only to about 20. Thanks for the quick reply Pete 12 thou it is then, one thin I didn't mention is that the bike is fitted with a BTH mag I assume that the gap would be the same, when I spoke to Tony Cooper he told me that some bikes were fitted with a BTH due to supplies from Lucas wither this is correct or not I ha...
