Thanks for the input re timing I have the drawing above but the inlet camshaft sprocket has two dots on it and I cannot see a dot on the crankshaft sprocket so even if I line the two big sprockets as per fig 17 in manual will the crank be right or are they hunting teeth I e lining up every few revol...

As I will soon be taking the engine apart for a full check over as the bike has been stood for 50 years, I want to get parts serviced I have told that Tony Cooper is the man, can someone please let me have a contact number for him so I can put the wheels in motion thanks in advance kevin bowman

Being a complete novice to Ariel motorcycles I have been trying to sort out the valve timing marks have looked in the workshop manual and it states inlet camshaft keyway at 11 o clock with timing dot above centre line and exhaust camshaft keyway at 1 o clock with dot below centre line plus crankshaf...

KH 500

Looking to start collecting parts for my 1951 KH 500. I have been informed that the seat on my bike is a BSA one I would like to change it for a single seat but if possible a used one, also a bottom front mudguard stay / stand again a used one any help or pointers greatly excepted.

not going to restore oily rag is the way for me. strip engine make sure is ok inside new tyres,tubes and silencers and hopefully ride and enjoy.

Thanks for all the welcomes hopefully I have been able to add two photos of the KH the top photo is when I got it home it shows the type of mudguard that is fitted to the bike as well as showing the guard having been cut off short and no bottom stay /front stand of which I want to correct.
